Area of Focus:

Routine hematology
1.Diagnostic workup for cause of anemia.
2.Coagulation disorders—diagnosis with special tests for inherited disorders.
3.Platelet function tests for diagnosis of platelet related bleeding disorders.
4.Neonatal and pediatric hematological disorders e.g. sepsis, hemolysis etc.
5.Hemolytic anemia workup.
6.Flow cytometry for leukemia.
7.Bone Marrow examinations.
8.Future – Expansion for Immuno-deficiency disorders – workup.

Achievements:

1.Starting the workup for the diagnosis of Red cell membrane disorders.
2.Expansion of the leukemia MRD – to be started soon.
3.New tests to be added to support the Bone Marrow transplant unit e.g. CD 34.
4.Online teaching of special hematological workup.
