The Healthcare Management Institute (HMI) at KEM Hospital, Pune conducts the Post Graduate Diploma Course in Hospital Management (PGDHM). This course equips participants with the skills and confidence to commence careers as Administrators/ Managers in healthcare establishments.
The HMI Department was started in 2007 with an aim to train graduates and diploma holders in any discipline and General Nurse Midwives (GNMs) to become more capable and efficient hospital administrators. HMI conducts the PGDHM under the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The course is of one-year duration, comprising of 2 semesters and with a maximum intake capacity of 60 students. Examinations are held by Pune University in November and May of each year.
Over the years, our HMI Department has gained enormous popularity mainly due to the excellent quality of teaching by the faculty, provision of exhaustive study materials and books, and training in not only the various subjects, but also in soft skills, interview techniques and management skills.
